At Belton High School, we are proud to support our miliary-connected students and families. We have a rich culture of respect, responsibility, and safety that we wish to integrate all new students into. Specifically, we have programs in place to make the transition into our community as smooth as possible for new military-connected students.
Our support system begins with Student 2 Student, or S2S. Established in 2004, Student 2 Student (S2S) is a peer-to-peer student-led program that brings military and civilian students together to welcome new students, create a positive environment for all, support educational opportunities, build connections through service, and ease school transitions. This program is facilitated by our Military Liaison Savannah Johnson.
We value the experience and resilience that our military-connected students possess and S2S is a place where military-connected students can come together and share their like experiences in a community that understands deeper the commitment of military life.
Here at Belton High School, we recognize that “kids serve too”.
